The Juneau
based Spatial Data at UAS program functions as a node
of the Geographic Information Network of Alaska (GINA). We provide data, maps,
instruction, and information on spatial data technology to students, researchers,
management agencies and the public. Spatial Data@UAS is part of the UAS
Environmental Science Program and is housed in the Hendrickson Building Rm 107.
The University of Alaska Southeast hosts the Southeast Alaska GIS Library , which provides publicly available GIS data for download. The Southeast Alaska GIS Library is a cooperative project sponsored by the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, The Nature Conservancy of
Alaska, the University of Alaska Southeast, the US Forest Service, and
the US Fish and Wildlife Service. Click on the "GET DATA" link on the main menu to view and download GIS data.
